Greetings from WV
 

This is my first post, so here it goes. I just purchased a KHS road bike several months ago. Mainly to stay in shape, but I do enjoy getting out on the road and and letting go of daily stresses. I stumbled onto Bike Forums completely by accident and have been reading some of teh threads and have gained some useful information. Road bicycling is not as popular in my area as mountain biking, so I don't have opportunity to get and ride with more experienced bicyclists, so I have to rely on other resources to gain knowledge.
Last night, I rode my personal best. 21 miles (i.e. WV miles=HILLS) in one hour 16 minutes. I think that is good, would appreciate comments. Thanks

You didn't say exactly where you are in WV except North Central. I went to school in Morgantown and occassionally go to Clarksburg for work at a client site. That area is hilly. If you are doing 21 miles in the time mentioned, you're averaging almost 17 mph. That's a good pace for the territory. I ride maybe 150 miles per week and would find 17 mph there challenging.
