Howdy from Richmond, Texas that is.

I have not been involved in cycling much over the last several years. With the exception of riding the local MS150 every year but one since 1998. I usually do that with one of my daughters on our Double Vision recumbent.

While I like the recumbent, it lacks the accelleration of my road bike. Which currently is an old Scwhinn Ontare with Sun Tour components. Drive train anyway. I am in the process of building a new bike from parts and a frame. Can't wait for it to cool down and me to get the bike put together.

I am hoping to get a little more riding in before next April, so the MS150 won't hurt so bad. I figure one or two more years of the tandem and I will have both of the girls on their own bikes and I can ride a single bike again. That will make climbing the hills easier, but the descent won't be near as fun.

Well, I'm a fellow Richmonder... Virginia, that is. And I wouldn't say that I'm new, but I'm only moderately experienced with this great source of all things bike oriented. In fact, maybe one of you could help me with something... It seems that I don't have permission or privileges to post an item under the "Wanted to buy" section." Why is that?

House Rules are the same for the "For Sale" section as well. To get the upgraded membership, look in your control panel under Paid Subscriptions. Donated to the site and get the little red star, and access to those threads.
