Hi All, OfficeGuy here.

Hi,

Jus joined up today.
Has anyone on this forum done the Karapoti Classic? I'm planning to do this next year as my first big event. A little nervous as I'm currently unfit and don't yet even own a bike.

I have borrowed an old Giant hardtail and am hitting the trails at the moment . I am also raising some funds [ see signature below] and am tossing up between a GT idrive and a Jamis Dakota. Any thoughts on either of these?

I like the iDrive, but have heard nothing but rave reviews for the Jamis. Try to test both if you can.

Welcome.

Be careful...posting and riding are both recommended, but not at the same time!

I am the champion of crashing. I still have yet to learn how to ride the trails, but crashing? I have that mastered.
