Hi from Oregon

Just a quick Hi. I'm interested in biking for fun and fitness and I am in the process of searching for a new bike. I am a grandma but love the active life! Oregon is a wonderful place to experience the outdoors and my partner and I want to see more of it on bikes. However, for the most part he and I ride around town, we live in Eugene, and I will be riding to work when weather permits. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.

Welcome

Enjoy your pedals around Eugene. I'm from Portland but I bought my bicycle from a bike store in Eugene (Paul's bicycle way of life). Welcome to the forum and welcome to the sport.

Hi from another Eugenean, Klingongal. I just started riding to work about a month ago, and I love it--a little worried about the upcoming rains, but I figure if others can do it, so can I (with the help of a rain cape). See you around town!

Welcome, I'm from Eugene as well. It's an easy town to bike around. For the upcoming rainy season fenders, a good jacket, and good rain pants will go a long way. Even with the rain I still think it's easier to get around by bike than car in this town. See you around!

Welcome Klingongal! Wow, we are starting to get quite a few from Eugene, YIPPIE!

There is a Walk and Bike meeting this coming Saturday at the UofO EMU, there will be talks on commuting, safety and a chance to speak with City officials about walking, biking and improvements. 8:30 am to 1:00pm
Everyone should come out and join in, it's free! and includes lunch.
