hi from chicago

i'm a new rider interested in getting into everyday biking because parking is scarce and weaving through traffic rocks. I have never owned a fixedgear but my roommate has an old Nishiki that i love riding and has prompted me to get my own. Problem is, i have no clue of what brand of bike i should get. i know i need frame that is 56 c-c but what does someone recommend for everyday city riding. Nothing too serious but a bike that's fun to ride. Oh, and i'm in college so i'm kind of broke. But im looking to spend upto 350 maybe even 4. any suggestions would be a great help. thanks.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Welcome to the forum! There is a fixed gear forum, http://www.bikeforums.net/singlespeed-fixed-gear/ for your question, I ride with gears so I haven't a clue for fixies. If you are interested, you can find more local riders here:
