Hi everyone...from Tokyo

Well, i figured it's been time to introduce myself. I've been lurking on this site for at least 2 months, reading up on what kind of bike to get, ways to improve the riding experience, etc...

I had been riding a department store mountain bike for about 1 year and a half. Then something snapped and I wanted to get a road bike but wasn't sure if I'd be comfortable on one or not. Finally, decided to go for the Giant OCR 3. Paid close to 600 USD for it, have been riding for 1 month and am just having a blast on it.

When I first started riding, I would average about 25 km/h and now I'm closer to 27 km/h. I just can't wait till I break the 30 km/h average.

I bought a Cateye double wireless cycle computer (with cadence) to use on the bike. My only regrets with this is now I'm having conflicts with my old Polar HRM.

I love coming here and reading whatever comes to my attention and I learn a lot from other posters. I hope to post more once I get to know some of you.

It's too bad I don't see other Tokyo posters because I'd really like to meet up and go for a ride with someone.

That's it for now. Hope to hear from some of you.

You're welcome! By the way, we do have some members in Japan, keep the eyes open and maybe do a rollcall post in Road or onew of the other forums?

Here's a thread that has a couple of Tokyo cyclists posting in it!

Hi Stormcrowe: I've read that thread with the Japan posters. But I didn't follow what they were talking about and I feel that we're into different kind of cycling, or so it seems. Probably easier to find a Japanese bike forum instead. ; - (
