Hi from good old Europe

hi out there,
i'm not really a biker - i just use my bike to get from one place to the other. And I don't really mind about all that technical stuff as long as there's no 8 in my wheels and as long as i don't hear the chains squeaking
My admiration goes to folks who manage to get to the highest mountains with the oldest equipment.
Well as you can guess, I rather go skiing, hiking or climbing and use my bike just a means to get to those places quicker.
A friend told me about this forum so I decided to take a look what's going on in this community.
And you never know... just maybe I get to bike a little more this year, in that case I might post some tales or experiences about biking in the alps.

Hi Sandia welcome to the Forum. Even if you are not into the technical side of cycling you can always join in on the discussions in the Lounge. Where in old Europe are you located? My guess it is Switzerland.

Welcome Sandia. You don't have to get into the technical stuff to get something out of these forums. What was that saying? Something about it not being about the bike? We'd love to hear about your cycling thoughts and experiences no matter what they are. BTW, a squeaking chain can be a good thing. I made a friend on a double-century because he was coming up behind me with a horribly squeaking chain and a conversation about bad bikeshop service ensued. Hope to see more posts from you...

I don't know Sandria, but you might be one of the few REAL bikers here. Using your bike just to get from one place to another. WELCOME
