Hello from Detroit!
Hey everyone - just thought I would introduce myself. I'm Don, and I'm from a town called Wixom which is a suburb of Detroit. I've been away from cycling for about 6 years now, and am trying to get back into it. I used to work at and manage a few different shops in the Detroit area, as well as ride all the time. I got out of the cycling industy, got married and had kids, but now I'm ready to get back into it. For the time being I have a Kona Hot that my buddy generously donated to me. We pieced it together with parts we had lying around, and although it's good for easy riding, I don't trust it to hold up to some serious trail use. It's also a little small, so I plan on building up a bike over the winter. I still have all my tools and know-how, so I'm looking forward to it. I need to do some research as to what a good full suspension rig would be for a guy my size. Back when I was in my prime, I was a little under 200 lbs. (I'm 6'3), but after gaining sympathy weight from two kids, I've packed on an extra 50 lbs. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone and get some good info on my next ride!
