Howdy from Portland, OR

Hi All,

I'm a recent transplant from Washington, DC (not state), and former NCAA cross country runner looking to get into cyclocross, duathlons, and maybe triathlons. I've never trained for competitive riding, but am looking forward to the challenge. Training suggestions and training partners (run, bike, swim) are greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Welcome to Oregon, hope you like it here. You may know this already, there is a duathlon this weekend in Corvallis, you may want to look into this one. There is always something going on in the state, and the climate is much nicer than Wash DC (IMHO), so enjoy!

My wife did three triathlons this summer. There are a number of training clubs and coaches around town. Welcome.
