Good to have you here.

Make sure you let us know how you go in any triathlons in which you compete.

Thanks alot.

I just got a job in the southbay, so I'm looking for rides down there after work. I've checked out the western wheelers and they have some weekday rides.

I'm also looking for some sprint/crit training rides down there. They do it in Golden Gate park on tue and thurs, but I won't be able to make it now.

Nope, I ride out to Los Gatos. No train, just my bike, the road, and me. How far do you take caltrain?

Yer lucky to have it at all. I biked/Caltrained during the boom, and if you weren't on one of the endpoints, you could forget about getting on the first train, maybe the second, hopefully the third...

And welcome to the forums! This place is great.

I take it from San Mateo (Zone 2) to Santa Clara (Zone 5). It's a good 30 miles I think. I don't have a cycloputer, so I don't know how far it actually is. It's hard to ride my bike from my home to school in the morning since I gotta get there at 730. On Mondays I wake up an hour early and get on the first train so I can get off at Mountain View and ride the rest of the way (6-7 miles). I might start doing that more often now that I have my new bike.

cranky that's why I keep up with schedule changes, coz then I can plan how much time I need to have before the train comes.

I just meant that the bike car used to be so crowded that they wouldn't let you on at all. Then you'd have to wait for the next train, which would also full.
