    Tex rider

Hello All - I came upon Bike Forums and was prompted to make my way to introductions, so here goes. I am a native Texan, 43 year old member of the San Antonio Wheelmen( a good cycling club here in South Texas). Like all who have found their way to bike forums, I enjoy cycling as a way to stay in shape. I own three road bikes: a Bridgestone RB2, a classic frame made by McLean Fonieville that I peiced together myself, and a Schwinn Le Tour (circa 1982). All of my bikes are ten years old or older. I never consider myself retro, but I guess time passes by as asphalt under the wheels...Anyway, there is an organized ride here in San Antonio I will be doing this Saturday ( the Wildflower 100). Is anyone out there doing the 5 Boroughs ride in NYC? I've dreamed of doing that one.

I've had several since 1999 but have settled on my beloved 2001 Litespeed Tuscany. Just ordered a 2015 Cannondale Supersix EVO 105 to replace my "destroyed" CAAD 10 2.

    Welcome to BikeForums.
My first bike I had as an adult was an '84-'85?? Schwinn LeTour. Great bike. Wish I still had it.

Hello Ron - Thank you for the welcome. Sorry. I am hanging tight to my old Schwinn. What color was yours anyway? I like to think of mine as the 'Silver Explorer'. The bike now has a new seat and Freddy Fenders since it is now my rainy day commuter bike. Funny how we get attached to inanimate objects. How's the cycling in Gorja? - hkelly
