Newbie from NJ

Greetings all,

Looking forward to absorbing as much as I can, and hopefully contributing some as well. Recently relocated to NJ from Charlotte, NC for work reasons. I have a 1999 Trek 8000 and a 2006 Motobecane Fantom Cross. Love the mtn. bike, but have to travel 1.5+ hours to get to anything that doesn't involve long flat stretches of sugar sand. so, I picked up a CX bike last fall to use on roads, rail trails and general riding here and when I travel. Love the CX so far.

Hello LBIkid, too bad about the long drive to be able to use the mountain bike, but at least the CX bike keeps you from forgetting what it's like to get out and ride, eh?

Welcome to BF!

Welcome to the board!

I'm a former Jersey Girl -- Lumberton, Mt. Holly & Vincentown -- back in the 70's I fought for every bit of pavement I could get. I hope you have bike lanes (California is very accommodating that way). Whereabouts are you?

Happy trails!

Located just outside of Mount Holly in Eastampton, Burlington County. Not many bike lanes down this way, but enough roads through the Pine Barrens to provide some level of solitude.

Hi from Central NJ (Monmouth Cnty) - Welcome from another newbie to the forums! I hear the pine barrens has some great riding for road cycles. I haven't had a chance to get there yet but it's on my "to ride" list for sure. I tend to favor along the shore near here but would love to get down south to LBI or Island Beach St Park to ride as well!
