oldest?

I'm a newby, but maybe the oldest on the forum.. Doc. said exercise and that got me back on a bike after many years of not riding . I've had a Rans V2 for three years. And just finished a Cruzbike conversion on a MTB. I have a 1965 Corvair by Chevrolet, hence the user name.. Glad to be aboard.. Bill

Welcome to BF.

No, you're not the oldest.
I'm 62 and still a kid and there are many others here older than me.
If you want to meet some REALLY OLD people, go to the 50+ forum.

Hello aircooled, you'd have to tell us the year if you want us to think of you as the oldest!

Ron is just teasing you about the 50+ forum, because it sounds to me as if you might enjoy the Classic & Vintage forum too if you like that '65 Corvair enough to use it as your nick .

http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/

Also, there's a regional subforum that you might find of interest:

Welcome to BF!

I don't think you're the oldest, even so...but you're close!

You must still be working on the avatar . You can also stop being a 'junior' member by going to the User Control Panel, go to Edit Profile, create a custom user title.

That's a swell Corvair, Aircooled!

My own username comes from a Chevy as well.

Welcome to BF, and welcome back to biking! It's a great form of exercise, and, unlike swimming, you can actually stop and have some pie while doing it!

Enjoy the forums. But I don't think you're the oldest. There's one member that has 6 years on ya. Might be more.
Where in Wisconsin are you from?

Welcome.

There is one member 85yo. Can you top that? Otherwise, you are just a punk kid, as I am at 67yo.

Drop by the 50+ forum.

You have ths perfect pic for your avatar with your location.. A friend and our wives drove up to Elroy . He and I rode the Omaha trail north to Camp Dougles. Then loaded up and went into LaCrosse for the Wk end. Next summer I would like to go Elroy to Sparta I think. Which way is down hill for the most part? The rails to trails with the tunnels and bridges, and railroad history make for a very enjoyable time. I live south of you at Delavan . Down I-90 to Janseville then west on 11 Take care Bill

I believe Elroy is about 200 ft. higher than Sparta. But that's not much real difference in 32 miles. I like going from Elroy if the wind is from the South cause most of the last 12 miles head north. I'm a wind rider- meaning against it to start and with it to finish.
I too enjoy the history part of rail trails. That's why I search out rail/trails.
