Have been lurking around BF soon after getting back into cycling in Nov 2003 just before my 45th, after 16 years of sitting on my fat___. Started back in by riding the '86 Centurion Ironman I bought new and abandoned. Love my C&V rides (including the Gitane I really wanted back in '72), building up and selling some off at times, but bought a modern ride (used) 2+ years ago, and I have to admit that it's faster. Now building up my first SS - just need a warm weekend so I can shoot the frame - and even ordered an IRO from the SSFG group buy for my first fixie. It was time to join the BF group, as the insanity is terminal now.

Birmingham, AL is not the most bike-friendly city, but it's got some great people to ride with.
