Recovering in Victoria, BC, Canada

I have been an Islander all my life, a cyclist from the first time my brother rolled me down the hill in our backyard into the pond at the bottom. Explains why fishing and cycling were my choice activities I suppose. My choice was always a road bike until I became a Grandfather. Thought I had best try out mountain biking before I got too old

I met Melissa at a 200 km charity ride 5 years ago. February 2006 we cycled the south Island of New Zealand (check out my website) and now I am hooked on touring.

Recovering from what? Check out;

How many of you met your better half at a cycling event?

Hello Steve, you are a lucky man in SO many ways .

And what a wonderful idea for visiting cyclists, with the warmshowers site. I may have to take advantage of that one day--it's my goal to cycle the length of Vancouver Island sometime next year.

Welcome to BF!

Wow. Good luck with your recovery. It certainly sounds as if nothing is going to stop you - nor should it!
