The Untruer of Wheels...

I've been lurking as a registered user of this forum for a little while now, so I figured I'd introduce myself to the community.

I'm riding an '07 Trek 1000 that's 30 days old Friday. Pretty average story: used to be into cycling(mostly on a mountain bike, some BMX), then quit for some reason after I moved in '98. A couple of friends who are serious roadies got me back into it so I bought an entry level road bike(since all I had were MTBs) and hit the pavement, mostly to lose some pounds. A month later and about 35 pounds lighter(I hit the stationary bike first about three months ago) I'm loving it.

Besides that I live in NorCal, 24 years old, like long walks on the beach, SCUBA, etc. Love the forum, love the sport!

Hello TheAdmiral, a lot of BF members in Northern California. If you haven't stopped by the Northern California regional forum, you should check in and say hello. You are lucky where you live, there are a lot of organised rides down there so you can join in the fun.

There are a few other members in Santa Rosa. I used to live on Sacramento Avenue, too .

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the welcome! I've noticed that there is quite a cycling community around here. I'll have to step up my game so I can join them.

Yes, I only wish I'd been a cyclist when I lived down there. Now I know what I was missing, darn it! I am making up for lost time, though .
