Newbie from PA
Hi everyone! I'm 50+ dad from Central PA who recently started riding to improve my health. I ride the NCR trail a couple of days a week. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you so that I can "catch up" on what I've been missing. I rode everywhere when I was a kid but as with many of us, the thrill of driving relegated the bike to the rust bin. Now I would rather ride than drive! Funny how wisdom comes with age.

My Iron Horse
I'm half ashamed to say a Huffy. Hey, it's what was available until I can get a Trek. Besides, getting in shape on an "iron horse" will only make riding a decent bike all the more pleasurable

Hi Gr8Day2ride-
Welcome to BikeForums and congratulations on digging the bicycle out of the garage. You'll find lots of information here. As a matter-of-fact, there was a thread going about a metric-century (62 miles) that was just held in the Hershey, Pennsylvania area. Have fun.

Don't worry about your bike being a Huffy--as long as you get out and ride a bike, it's all good to me . Besides, there are a lot of nice older bikes in your area going for reasonable sums if you decide to upgrade. Just come visit us in Classic & Vintage and look at posts by members tolfan and Little Darwin for an idea...
