Montreal ride - old titanium bike and chariot...

hi,

am a girl (well, guess I need to say woman now that I'm 37...). Been commuting on and off since 1998. This year is the best, I go thru woods, next to the river and on paths almost all the way... I have an old pict (last year) but I took the Respro mask off this year; too hard to breathe and I'm not in the traffic anymore... there's a lot more guys on the road than girls I've noticed.

Anyways, I just ride 24 km a day, but it's better than the car ! I won't post a lot but it's fun to see commuting all around the world !

Hello rousse, there are many members here who are in Montreal, so don't forget to stop by the Eastern Canada regional forum.

What kind of bike have you got there? I love the yellow/silver scheme. Looks as if you are an excellent candidate for the Living Car Free forum, too .

Welcome to BF!

welcome aboard! I'm new here, too. I live about 2 hours east of Montreal and mostly ride trails (haven't tried commuting yet) but still notice that we're outnumbered by guys out there.

Sweet ride, I love the yellow!

my now ten year old Eclipse Titanium

I got my bike in 97 ... it was a very cool bike when I got it (I love that bike) - it's Russian titanium . It never stayed locked more than ten minutes alone outside for fear of being stolen.
The yellow is cuz I got hit in 1991... everything is yellow (at the beginning even my shorts, gloves, shoes had some yellow). Drivers just have to see something. AM a little less paranoid these days.

Didn't ride after that untill I got my Eclipse bike. An old beauty ... titanium lasts forever, there's not a scratch on the frame. funny all my equipment looks used now - even me. Geez. Time has this effect on everything
