Introducing...
Hello bicycling folk!
I just wanted to say thanks for everything. Even though this is my introduction I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and have learned more about bikes than I thought there was to learn.
I live in Chicago and have been car-free for a couple years now. I just realised this spring that I should be riding a bike and not the train. I bought a fourty dollar Murray Bio-Tech Physical Fitness Cycle off of craigslist and started riding it everywhere. It was quite a piece and eventualy broke, but now I've got the itch. I have since bought a shiaty Varsity that will be operational in the next year (thanks to all of the information I've found here), and a '69 Peugeot that I will ride to work everyday and the bar every night. I know it's a '69 because of y'all, and your endless 'WTF Peugeot am I riding' threads.
Anyhow, I now hangout here every day and just wanted to say hi and thanks. So hi, and thanks!

Hello Frood, does this mean you will become a regular in the Classic & Vintage forum? We need photos of these treasures.
You've probably seen me point people to the various regional forums, so don't hesitate--check out the Great Lakes forum and say hello to the rest of the homeboys and homegirls.
Welcome to BF!

Thanks for introducing yourself TheFroodAbides. I do not ride much in Chicago, but ride plenty of miles west of there. Have fun and ride safely.

Hi TheFroodAbides. Welcome to Bike Forums. It's great to see fellow Chicagoan here in BF. I tend to ride often in Chicago for I have the itch as well. Maybe we'll bump into each other sometime on the streets of Chicago. Take care and ride safely.
