old newbie in Georgia

Greetings, I'm an old bike nut here in Georgia with a few nice mostly 70's road bikes just joining up. Looks like I'll miss the CR this year since my recent bypass surgery prevents the drive, but I do hope any of you who go have a great time. Try a burger across the street from Cycles D'oro. Maybe you could get your own bypass!!!

Hello vinernut, I see you have already found C & V, and I assume you've got photos of the other bikes...

Sorry to hear about the bypass, but I would assume you are doing well? Thanks, I don't think I need a bypass quite yet .

Welcome to BF!

Welcome vinernut.
Sorry to hear bypass surgery was necessary but hang in there and get back on the bike when the doc says it's ok.
Check out the local action in the Southeast subforum. Lots of Atl area folks on BikeForums.

Thanks, folks. I live in Norcross, a small suburb of Atlanta to the north, a couple of miles outside I-285. I know several of the collectors in the Atlanta area and my brother-in-law is Buck Peacock, a well known collector/expert/great guy/bluegrass guitar player. I'm trying to upgrade my collection and focus on 50's-early 70's racers. I've been off the bikes for a few years, but the heart troubles have provided motivation to climb back on, probably on my Gios. Maybe I'll see you on the Silver Comet this fall.
