Getting back into it...
Hi
My name is Alex. I go to school in upstate NY, but I'm from CT.
I just got my first road bike about a month ago and am loving it. I also have an ooollllld trek 930 I got almost 10 years ago...I think. I'll be looking to replace that soon with some sort of racing MTB.
Looking forward to enjoying this forum!

Hello Alex, what kind of road bike did you get?
That Trek 930 might be worth converting into a SS/FG, by the way. It is a steel frame, is it not?
Check out the regional forum for the Northeast, too.
Welcome to BF!

Welcome to BikeForums Alex.
I see you already know that you need different bikes for different applications. Have fun on the forums. There is plenty of information and entetainment to be enjoyed.

SS/FG means Single Speed/Fixed Gear. There's a forum devoted to that species of bike .
