I can't believe I've missed out all this time

Hello there!

24, Male, Odenton MD. My wife bought me a 2007 Tommaso Imola for me as a surprise and well, I just can not believe how fun it is to ride a road bike. I have been riding a mountain bike for a while, but a road bike is just as fun, if not more because of how fast you can go. The other great thing is that I can ride with my wife(she has a 2007 trek 1000 WSD) while she trains for the Ryka Iron Girl. I built and setup my bike yesterday afternoon and took it out for it's maiden run at B&A trail for roughly about 6 miles. It's just amazing. Please forgive my newbie posts for at least a little while, but I'm sure I'll get into the lingo and road bike culture soon.

Hello turbopro, ya gotta start somewhere, sometime. So, don't worry about being a newbie, just remember that riding the bike is more important! Time enough to learn lingo and road culture later. Kudos to your wife, too!

Don't forget to check the regional forums for more members in your area, and

Welcome to BF!

Welcome Turbopro,

There are a lot of good road rides around your area. After you get some milage in on the B&A, you are in for some super times.

Thanks. B&A is pretty fun. Today were gonna go out and do airport loop. Hopefully finish it in about 45 minutes. Thanks for the advice East Hill, the regional forum is pretty sweet.

You're welcome! For some reason it is easy to miss the regional forums, and it's such a great way to find out what's happening in your local area.
