Hello everyone,

I guess I'm considered a newbie to your forums. I've been riding BMX since the days of Eddie Fiola and early DMC. Dirt jumping, racing, flatland, street, ramps...I love it all. I might be older, but I can still show up most of the kids in town. They all come to me for mechanical stuff and beg me to ride with them, but I had my bike stolen 8 months ago and just had a new baby so it's hard. I've also recently fallen in love with mountain biking. I've convinced all my 30something friends to buy MTN bikes and it's been a blast.

Hello jimmyjones, does this mean that you are currently without a bike? And, are you still riding BMX, or have you gone to MTB all the time?

I'm currently and sadly without a BMX bike. After I sold my last bike to my younger brother last year, I bought a BMX frame and built up a bike, custom painted and all. Unfortunately, every kid in town came to see it and once word got around, some misguided soul broke into my shed and took it along with my flatland frame and a bunch of BMX parts I had stored. So all of my biking lately has been MTB.

Oh, BUMMER! Did you have photos, or have you given up hope of recovering the bike? What was the frame, by the way?

It was a Mirra Pro frame with mostly DK parts and Alex Supra J wheels and a Hoffman EP frame and forks. All said and done, over $1000 worth stolen. I had a DK Legacy Chris Doyle Frame, but I didn't like the geometry. Everyone nowadays seems to be anti-Haro now that they've become the upscale Huffy. But the Mirra Pro frame handled like a dream. The wife said I can buy a new bike for Father's Day. I'm thinking a 2-Hip Soul, WTP Addict, or Integral Expo. Something decent I can get for around $350.
What do you ride?

Me? For an MTB I have an old school Fuji Thrill, which I love! It's a hardtail :D .

I'm still working on the BMX bike...but the one you built up sounds pretty nice.
