Introduction
Greetings all,
I was excited to find this forum in searching for biking info. I live in Chattanooga where we have so many biking opportunities and have friends who ride on our Tennessee riverwalk. I just started looking at bikes and plan on getting a hybrid for now and perhaps a dedicated mountain bike later. For now I want to ride for pleasure and fitness (running is getting to my old mans knees). I will post on another forum ( on this site) as to recommendations needed. My price range is $400 to $1000 and currently am looking at Gary Fisher, Trek, and Cannondale for hybrid bikes. Any suggestions appreciated and hope to communicate with other riders from Chattanooga.

Hello Mark5356, we're starting to get quite a few members in Chattanooga, actually. Take a look at the regional forums, and do a shout out.
That's quite a big range of price, but if you can stretch out to $1000, you should be able to pick up a decent bike.
