I just got back into cycling. I biked everywhere in college, but then my grunky old college bike got too grunky so I left it behind in a move. It kinda needed a new chain and sprockets because they had worn in together and was a cheap low-end bike so the guys at a bike store actively discouraged me from doing anything with it.

I bummed around for five years or so without biking. After realizing that my new job left me within easy biking distance to home, I started to want a new bike so I could bike to work. Finally, a few weeks ago I impulse-bought a Trek 7100 hybrid from the bike store that's within walking distance from my apartment complex.

It's fun. I've gone on two 15-mile-rides so far and am bike-commuting 3 miles each way most days. I keep thinking about where I'm going to bike to next on my bike.. what places I can see... stuff like that.

I'm also a hardcore photographer, so I've got pictures I take while out on a ride in a flickr set.
