Howdy from Brooklyn

Hey all. Great forum. I'm a runner who's starting training for the NYC marathon in November. The extra miles are giving my body a beating, so I started cross training a couple days a week with my friend's road bike. I think I'm getting hooked! I've only mountain biked before and didn't know what else I was missing out on. I'm currently shopping for an entry-level bike of my own--probably going to go with a Specialized Allez. I look forward to getting educated in this new sport!

Hello mcCrankerson, yes, cycling can be just as addictive as running, but doesn't beat up your knees .

Soon you'll be hitting the Nutrition and Triathlon forums, craving more of that fix .

Welcome to BF!
