New rider from Damascus Maryland

My wife and I just picked up our first bikes in years. We are looking for some local riders so that we can start exploring.

Hello Superide, I see you found the Northeast regional forum. You should have no problem finding either trails or fellow riders where you're living. Are you planning on mostly MTB or doing some road riding as well?

Welcome to BF!

I don't know how knobby your tyres are off hand, but if you find yourselves riding mostly on paved roads, you can probably change them out for slicker tyres. That means you can go faster, without the annoying road noise of knobbies.
