Howdy - from SF Bay area

Hi everyone,

New to the bike forums, I live on the SF peninsula and work in the city, SOMA. Commute to work via bike/Caltrain for the last 5 years - still riding my old KHS mountain bike that has been re-vamped as my city bomber. My ride varies between 5 and 10 miles per day. Definitely prefer the pavement to the dirt.

(trying to attach a .jpg but it doesn't seem to like my 68kb file...?)

Dying to build a fixed gear to switch up my riding routine but I'm picky and finding a suitable 54cm frame around here is tough - they get snatched up almost immediately. Although I can't say it's a bad thing to be in an area with tons of bike nuts...

Just looking to hang out and obtain some new knowledge - Glad to be here!

Hello atomicbob, don't worry, that 54cm frame will show up eventually. There are a lot of BF members in your area, so check into the Northern California regional forum to say hi.

Welcome to BF!
