Hello all

I'm new to the forum but not at all new to cycling. Mostly I'm into commuting and touring on bike, being much to slow to keep up with any of the competitive racer types. I live near Reno, NV and am hoping to take my Trek to Shasta, CA or possibly Crater Lake this fall.

Hello rwp, would you be travelling through Lassen NP? It sounds like quite an adventure!

Welcome to BF!

If I do go, Lassen won't be on the itinerary since I can only handle so many climbs on one trip.

Too bad! Lassen is an awesome place (even if I do have VERY bad memories of attempting to climb Cinder Cone when I was a teenager). Narrow shoulders, though, in places.
