cheers from Philly
Hello... found this site while looking up several bikes. I have ridden vintage British 3 speeds for years and years but just recently picked up a Jamis Commuter 3.0 after reading about it on Sheldon Browns site - it is a pretty close approximation of a modern take on the old bikes, but better! I also had a GT mountain bike from 1993, back when they were still made by Gary Turner and were decent machines with good Shimano LX groupo's. I made that into a city/hybrid in 2004 but it was stolen early this year, hence my Jamis purchase. When I was a kid I raced BMX bikes for 4 years and rode street bikes as a teen. My missus and I live in the city center of Philadelphia and ride our bikes everywhere. (She rides a 1967 Robin Hood with a 3 speed coaster brake setup. ) In addition to my Jamis I also regularly ride my 1965 3 speed.
Cheers!
Cheers!

here is a image of my new Jamis Commuter 3.0 : https://www.flickr.com/photos/damonabnormal/827583171/ I have added a Brooks B.17 saddle, lights, bottle cage, Zefal toe clips and flipped the bars. This is on my Flickr page, there are more shots of this bike online there.
