Hello from Cleveland!

Thought it would be a good first post to introduce myself!

My name is Kyle and I am 17, always enjoyed riding bieks and ive had a bmx bike most of my life, who hasnt had one of those when they were a kid!?

Just today bought a new bike to enjoy on state park trails, roads and a little bit of offroading.

I bought myself a 2007 Schwinn Mesa

Hope i made a good choice!

I dont plan on mountain biking a lot, but i didnt want to venture into a road bike

I picked a bike that didnt have hardcore mountain biking tires, that have a lot of treads and are wide, my bike has stock Kenda Klaw XT 26" x 2.1" Front and Rear specific tread pattern tires, anyone suggest any different ones for concrete/asphalt riding?

Hello Kyle, I can't help you with tyre selection, but I think you got a decent bike there. Although, if you plan on continuing to ride, you will probably want to upgrade in a few years. Depends on how hard you are on it .

Check out the regional forums for the local action.

That's good, it's not built like a BMX bike which could take anything you throw at it. But it should do the job if you don't ride off ten foot drops . You might want ot take a look at the Bicycle Mechanics forum, too, just in case .
