New from Canada

Hey, I'm from a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have to say biking here sucks! no one bikes, and no one cares about bikers. The town population is probably about 2000 lol. I think I should talk to the towns ppl and see if they will give me a place to ride. I do a lot of dirt jumping and trials, so they wouldnt have to give up too much land.

I ride a Norco Katmandu, and I'm starting a build. I think I'm going to use the Azonic Fiend frame. I hope to make a little extra cash by opening a bike repair shop this spring, which is like a year away, but I still have to learn some stuff about fixing bikes this fall. I'm only 13, 14 on the 21st of july! I hope to someday open a bike shop or do something to do with biking, because its what I love to do!

Hello norco rider77, an early happy birthday to you, then. You will certainly want to check out the Bicycle Mechanics forum, as some of the people who post there are the best mechanics in the business. You could learn quite a bit from them .

Welcome to BF!

I spent a few months working at the naval dockyard in Halifax in 1967 and have been back a few times since, and really enjoyed it, but found the water too cold for swimming. Good luck with the bike fixing, do your friends at school have bikes you can try working on?

Well, dont even think about swimming in the harbour now, raw suage is dumped into it! ya, some friends might have bikes i could work on, but they would try to get deals, which would just be annoying. ya, I wont be able to get a real job until im 16 so I hope I might be able to make a few bucks. maybe I wouldn even need a job.
