Back here after two year hiatus

Hi gang. Was off the bikes for a couple years mostly trail running or fishing (yeah, that's a workout, lol). All pumped up to road ride again. Did my first one in a longgg time today. 23 miles with a big hill which I promptly got dropped on. My sit bones are way sore...

Welcome back to the forums! Don't worry about getting dropped on the hill, it's happened to everyone at least once (well, except for me, of course ). A little bit of conditioning can make a big difference, so you've got plenty to look forward to (including revenge on those who 'dropped' you!)

Thanks for the encouragement, everybody. My sit bones are even worse today but I am still motivated.

Jeff, I'm in Anaheim Hills. I don't have a ride schedule down yet but am free to ride weekdays as I work on my own. I used to ride Como Street group sundays, but that was in my glory days, lol. I still have a fitness program from my former coach that I'd like to get back on.

Bikeme... you are right down the street from me.. i live in Orange.. near Chapman and Cannon... near the OC Mining company restaurant... I tried riding como st. abotu a year ago.. and got dropped about 8 miles in... i'd probably do better this year, as I'm in better shape... but still a tough ride :-) If youa re looking for a group ride.. I'd suggest the OC Rebels... I'm riding with them now... typical group.. some fast, racer types, a medium speed group.. and the slow guys... i'm usually at the front end of the medium group right now... working to get up to the fast group... there are a couple guys that are real fast there... fun trying to keep up... if you want some more info check out www.ocrebels.com also they ar a good group of people
