New guy from Louisville

Just wanted to stop in and say Hi.

Just so you know I am on the hunt for a cheaper bicycle that I can turn into a commuter (either road or mtn). I have a 5 mile ride I do almost everyday on my wifes (womens) diamond back with fat knubby tires and its killing me (back, butt, & el-crotch'o). I can't really afford a good hybrid (I guess I could??) either way I want to keep an eye out for some good used equipment to put something together ASAP.

Thanks and take it ez.

Garrett

Hello Garrett, have you tried the usual places--Craigslist, thrift shops, garage sales, perhaps the LBS sells used bikes? What's your budget?

You can put road slicks on a MTB that will make it a much faster and comfortable ride whilst on the road.

Welcome to BF!
