Hi everybody

I'm a physics student at NC State University. I'm getting more into cycling so it becomes a longterm casual/recreation activity since it is a great way to see new things and stay in shape! I know very little technical details about bikes, but learning is part of why I'm here. I actually gave away my old/decrepit road bike to some dude at a bike coop today and have begun my search for a new/used bike apt for my purposes. Anyhow: 'Hello, my name is ______ and thank you for welcoming me to your forum!'

Hello Owen, are you looking for a road bike, or a mountain bike? You have some good areas around for mountain biking, if I remember correctly. And yes, we can help you learn. Check out the stickies at the tops of the various forums, then ask questions .

Welcome to BF!
