Hi from Hotston, er, Houston
Hi, I'm new to biking & this city as well. I was researching for my first bike & found this forum. I don't plan on any hard core biking at this phase, but count me educated on the Wally bikes So, hoping to find some recommendations on the best shops in the west side, as well as general advice for noobs. Thanks for a great resource.

Hello Bixid, the thing about riding a bike is that once you get started, it becomes addicitive...especially as you get older and realise that there is more to life than driving a car! Listening to birds, the sound of the tyres on the road, or bumping over logs and rocks is infinitely more pleasurable than listening to the sound of honking horns .
So, a Wally bike would get you started (although not recommended by any means ! ), but you would soon hanker for more...so you might as well start a bit higher up in the spectrum if you can.
Check out the Texas regional forum if you haven't already.
