Belated introduction

Greetings all.....I'll get the hang of this internet thingy if it kills me...
Found the site whilst surfing. Not much of a talker  ... Prior to this "Introductions" thread, on the "General Discussions", I asked a question as to whether anyone could supply info about granite slickrock south of Yosemite here in wonderful California. Now, whilst I know there's only ever going to be one place for sacred Moab slickrock, I was hoping someone else recalls seeing/knows of a magazine article years ago that enthused about granite slickrock - equivalent! Whilst I can't get to sacred trails like Procupine Rim from the San Francisco bay area for a weekend, I reckon I could find my way to the northen Sierra for some exploration with my trusty Schwinn S-17 ( Its served me well these past 6 years... Albuquerque, Durango, Monarch Crest Trail, Moab, Marin, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, sacred Downieville...these we have loved). It's not the lightest bike out there, but the excess weight gives me a better workout!... leastways, that's what I tell myself when I blowup on the big hills and drag myself off to the side to tuck my lungs back into m'chest cavity!! Oh to be 25 again...but then again, I think I'm more fit now than I was at half this age...damnit..."Youth is wasted on the young"!
O.K...two toasts then I'm outta here lest I become the "windbag Introduction from hell", here's to Bob Hope... I don't think he shredded much, but he gave a lot of folk a lot of laughs and lived a full life. And secondly, here's to Lance Armstrong for having the cojones... as it were(!) to be a champion and rise to the occassion yet again....
Enjoy your time and happy trails.
Pick your mantra: "a wheel wants to roll, keep the rubber side down, get off the front brake or die, look where you want to go, hell, that's flat to a Canadian".
