Hola Everybody!
I am returning to the world of biking after a hiatus of a little more than 10 years.
Although, I haven't picked up my new prize (a 2007 Diamonback Response) because I ordered a new (and better) saddle--I must be comfortable--I want to dive right into the experience. Any words of advise/warning/instruction on a mountain biking/New York City resident?
Thanks
P.S. I love the local bike shops, but as my mother always said, "Everything ain't for everybody" Always insist on speaking with someone who is knowledgeable.
Ciao!

In the immortal words of Bruce McCall--
'Wasn't the lack of guardrails the whole and entire point?'
Where are you going to do your mountain biking in NYC?
Welcome to BF!

Initially I will be doing my biking the wilds of Harlem, Central Park, and Upper Manhattan. Later, probably in early May, I will have beaten my body into some semblance of shape and venture upstate. I will buy a second bike next July or September. I'll keep this one as a "beater".
