Hello from Greencastle, Indiana
I'm 36 years old, married (12 years), and have a 6 year old son. Just started riding last year. Friends talked me into doing a sprint distance triathlon. I did my first one on a mountain bike. Boy was that stupid. Bought a $70 mountain bike from Walmart. I did not want to spend the money for a bike to find out that I did not like it. Next bike was an old Fuji Del Rey. It was about 10 years old. Rode that one for over a year and completed 2 more triathlons on it. Finally, decided that I was going to be in it for the long haul, and invested in a new Fuji Roubaix. It was a 2005 model (brand new) that the bike ship had been carring in stock and could not unload. Most riders do not seem to fit a 49cm bike, but since I am 5'5 it fit me perfectly, and I got it for 1/2 off the original price. I was thrilled. My wife, not so much, but I had to agree that this bike would be my birthday, anniversary, and Christmas gifts this year.
Recently upgraded to an aero bar and look sprint pedals with Pearl Izumi Tri shoes.
I am looking to get better in the bike as part of my tri training. I ride 3 to 4 days a week with a longer ride on Saturdays (when possible).
That's it for now.

Hello ctuggle1, you are right about not many people fitting a 49cm bike! That is actually one cm over the upper limit of my range.
Good luck with your triathlons, and don't forget to check into the regional forums.
Welcome to BF!
