Hello from Maine

My husband & I ride a Trek T2000 tandem that we bought ourselves for Christmas 2002. My husband also rides a Specialized Allez road bike. I had to give up my road bike due to carpal tunnel & arthritis in my hands. Not having to shift & brake on the tandem is a big help! So far this year we've put over 600 miles on our new tandem. Our standard ride is about 25 miles, which we do 3-4 times a week. We've done a couple of longer rides in the 30-34 mile range. We are enjoying the tandem sooo much!

Hello from Maine yourself!
Glad to see things are working out for you. Have you ever tried glucosamine? Works great on my arthritis; my Doc got me taking it a year ago and I love it.

Yes, I take Glucosomine/Chondroitin & Tylenol Arthritis. It really does help.

Where do you ride? We go through Camp Ellis, OOB, Pine Point most frequently and have ridden to Cape Porpoise from Saco.

Hi,
we live in Falmouth. A lot of our rides we just leave the house and go. Our last weekend ride was from Bath to Fort Popham. It's a very hilly ride. We like the lighthouse loop around So Ptld and Scar. The Kittery area is nice, especially the after ride lunch and dessert at the Goldenrod There is a group of old fashioned cottages at Long beach in Sebago. We rode and stayed there last year. Pretty limited in the cuisine department, but it's a very nice beach, we definitely want to go back. Saco to Cape Porpoise sounds like a very nice ride, I
think we will do that sometime.

Hey all from Maine! If you all want a good hill workout, come to central Maine, around the Western Mountains. I live in the Farmington area, and there are very few loops to go on that don't have major hills involved. I rode in Southern Maine during the first weekend in August, and it's nothing like riding up home...
