Hello from ohio
Live in NE ohio, want to say hello. I do a mix of trainer, road and mtn during the week. Have aspirations of frame building one day, don't race right now, just ride for fitness.

Hello ecosse, what kind of bikes have you got? Are you going to go to school for the frame building?

bac, that was one of the reasons I joined. Thanks. I liked the threads on that board.
East Hill,
my trainer bike is an old Supergo mtb frame with old parts.
Road bike is a stock Giant TCR3, my first road bike. I was going to go for an OCR, but couldn't believe I could feel an acceleration difference between the two, plus the price difference was marginal.
Mtn. Bike is a K2 Razorback I got back in 2002 (I think). Love it, even with its oddities, but am seriously considering going to a Salsa Mamasita.
I tend to road ride more now due to convenience, but have mtn biked since late 90's.
As far as framebuilding, I would probably go to a local night school to learn welding first, then play with old bikes and move up from there. We'll see, so far its a pipedream, but its an idea as part of some cash on the side.

Your K2 is an oddity, all right...you don't see many of those around, at least not on Craigslist.
Good luck with your desire to build frames...
