Hello from Oklahoma City

Great forum. I just purchased a Specialized Roubaix (love it!). I narrowed down my selection by lurking on this website for some time and reading advice. I have a couple of mountain bikes but I haven't been on a road bike since my old Schwinn Varsity when I was a kid (over 25 years ago!). My how they've changed.
Let me share a little story...this evening I was out riding and fine tuning my Roubaix. I stopped along a road to adjust my seat height. While I was adjusting it I looked up and here comes a tandem and a roadie (near the GM plant in OKC). I waved and they asked "Is everything OK? You need any help?" I said "Thanks, I'm just adjusting my seat". The fact that they even bothered to ask tells me a lot about the biking culture. If you're the ones who offered help - a big Thank You. I hope I can offer the same to you someday. Anyhow, thanks for the excellent forum. I look forward to learning from you.

Hello Steve, that was good of the folks on the tandem to stop and ask after you--it's a good thing to do, even if the person looks as if they are doing fine without assistance.

It's certainly good karma to stop!

Welcome to BF!
