Ready to Ride Newb (well, almost)

Hello there, spent hours reading posts here yesterday and found alot of good information.

I'm one of the big boys, just under 300 pounds so the Clydesdales forum will be most beneficial to me and I hope to be able to give something back to it in the near future.

Now that the kids are out of the house and on their own I have time more time to dedicate to myself, I'd like to be around in good health to watch my grandchildren grow so I've decided to pick up bike riding again after almost 20 years and lose some weight.

My head is in the right place, I have the time and saving some money for the right bike.

Pleased to meet you.

Good to have you here, Ron.

If you've been reading posts, you are probably already familiar with the nice folks over in the C/A forum, so I won't bore you by telling you to go visit C/A.

So, what are you looking at to buy, or is it too early to tell?

Welcome to BF!

Thank you for the "welcome".

Considering my needs, I've narrowed the type of bike down to a dual suspension MTB turned "metro".

Like most things, I plan to find what I basically need and tweek it to fit me. This may take awhile.... but finding this forum will cut that time down a lot.

Thanks again.
