The weather has been cycling perfect since June and so glad I live in the great NW where I can ride just about any terrain imaginable (although I only sag for RAMROD). Seriously, anyone looking for glorious riding, should give Washington a try. I'm new to forums, but this site looks like it has a good bunch of people, so thought I'd check it out. Rode from Seattle to Vancouver, BC with my guy friends this month to celebrate my birthday...awesome!!!!

Hey another PNW welcome to the board so how was the route for the RSVP? I am thinking of doing it next year instead of the STP. If we get anymore members from the PNW Joe is going to have to give us our own forum
I heard it rained on the RSVP the second day. Is that true?
Khoun - I did the RAMROD this year. It was THE BEST ride I've ever been on!! Spectacular day, spectacular views. Simply incredible. Exactly the opposite of the TdB this year....remember the thread? (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...threadid=30688) ...ugly ugly.
I'll try to respond one more time...having bad luck trying to figure out how to go about it. RSVP is a great ride. Much more in the way of scenery. 105 miles the first day, with a climb up Chuckanut Drive near the end of the ride. Second day is a fun 75 miler. A nice party at the finish line. STP, for my group, is done in 1 day. Otherwise, there's not much challenge in it for us. Strongly suggest giving RSVP a try. Just remember to make your hotel reservations early (especially in Bellingham), as the hotels fill up fast. We make ours in April or earlier, if they allow.
Tour de Blast is a great ride as well. I'm hoping to give it a try next year if the weather is better. Hardly anyone (I think they said 10% of the riders), made it to the top due to extremely cold weather. It's an out & back, so a great chance to do some long climbs & use your descending skills on the way back down.
Forgot to add, yes it did rain on RSVP the second day, but we were already more than half way done with that leg of the ride, and it cleared up just as we were entering the outskirts to the city. Wasn't as bad as Tour de Blast & much warmer.
