New to Bike Forum - PEUGEOT

I am new to the Forum. I live in Brisbane Australia. I am in the final stages of restoring a Peugeot U08 bicycle that was rescued from the rubbish tip.
The bike is a little different from the USA Model in that it has a Suntour front deraileur and a Shimano rear deraileur. It has AVA bars and stem and Simplex shifters on the downtube. 27 * 1 1/4 rigida rims with Normandy high flange hubs. It has Japanese cranks with cotter pins and french pedals. Mafac racer centre pull brakes.
I first saw these bikes as as a schoolboy in the 70's and I have always wanted to own one. This bike will be going on the wall in my house and I'll ride it on sunny days. I have restored many bikes (old 70's steelies) mostly Malvern Star. Peugeot was not a common bike in Australia, quite rare actually. Most Australians don't know Peugeot make bicycles even though Phil Anderson rode one in the Toue de France.

Very interested to hear from Peugeot owners

    Thanks

    Steve
