Happy T-G f/NorthCentral CA

Hope this note finds all enjoyin' th' day!

"North Central" because those north of here think THEY are "North," and the rest is South... ...and, I work in Bay Area, but HOME is Chico, 90 miles north o' Sac-a-tomato.

I returned to cycling 25 yrs after "an incident" with a car. The ortho said I'm lucky to have an arm, and a life!

Th' guys at work were always talkin' about biking - when I saw how far mtn bikes have come, boom!

After some lookin', and testriding about three dozen models, took home a Giant VT3 from Pacific Bicylcle in SF. Thanks Darcy!

The first few rides through the 'hood to Black Diamond

Hey! Ah wern't done yet!

...spooky ever' time a car went by, lemme tell ya!

Two and a half years, some 28 lbs. later, I'm hooked!

This next year I want to return to (some) roading, do the Wildflower here in Chico, one of the LAC rides (Pop din' make it, lung C), and complete the goal I set for this year, but amn't ready for yet, leave RiverTown (old section of Antioch), ride through the park, Clayton, to the top of Mt. Diablo via Mitchell Crk, the back home the same way, t' pizza, salad, brandy&diet Mt. Dew (have you TRIED it?), and dark chocolate w/nibs.

I love biking! I will make my other 07 goal, 3000 mtn miles - only 219 to go!

Regards,

Spiduh

Hi Spidey, you aren't the only member in Chico! Trust me, there's others .

Check out the regional forums--there's a big contingent of NorCalers out there.

Welcome to BF, and happy Thanksgiving!
