Hello from Sonoma County, CA

My name is Mark Growden. I recently moved to Sebastopol.

I commute on my 1989 Specialized RockCombo. I love her. She and I rode in the very first Critical Mass in SF.

I'm also in the process of buying a 2004 Specialized Allez.

I've been cycling for years. I commuted in SF through the '90s. I took some years off when my kids were born but they're old enough to ride with me now (11 and 9). I'm selling my car and getting a BOB trailer to haul my instruments. Sonoma County is very bike friendly.

Welcome to the forum and Sebastopol. My name is Jeff Brown and I just joined up on this forum. I also live in Sebastopol. Yes Sonoma County is a great place for cycling. Check out the Sonoma County Bike Coalition http://bikesonoma.org/

Maybe when you get your road bike we could do a ride. There's some great riding in west county. The bike coalition sells a map with cycling friendly roads highlighted. You can get it on the web site and the LBS carry it.

That's weird that my first mountain bike (which I still use) was a rockhopper and I have an Allez too.

Take care,

Jeff
