New and amused!

My sister is going to have fit when i tell her about this site! <3

Any-who, i just signed up! im from Canada, Alberta, and live in a fairly small town. i HAD a Norco Katmandu but it was stolen today. thats actually how i found this site! i was bummed out and wanted to find someone who i could connect to!

i started riding when i was around 12. i tried to learn how to ride before that but im a bit of a klutz who hates pain so the 1st 100 times i fell of my bike i decided that biking wasn't the thing for me... thankfully the bunch of times i whacked myself on the head falling off the bike knocked some sense into me and i figured out that biking was fun! minus the falling down part.

i don't have my license so now riding is the only way i get around! i love it though!

Hi Slow-Jo, it's great to know that you kept plugging away at the bike riding...I think I would have been discouraged around the 99th time of falling off, but you are obviously more pain tolerant than I am .

How miserable that someone would steal your Katmandu , but it does give you an excuse to get another, better bike .

Welcome to BF!

Welcome

Welcome and I am sorry to hear about your loss. I had two bikes stolen when I was a teenager. When I moved to this neighborhood my car was stolen out of my carport, so I keep my bikes inside!

Hi!
That's a great story about your learning to ride. Anything gained through that much pain and frustration is a heck of a bonding experience! Way to go! Welcome aboard and have fun on your (soon to be obtained?) new bike.

thanks for the warm support guys!
me and my sister are already trying to find me another bike. its no real rush though because i usually dont bike during the winter. most of the drivers around where i live are scary on a good day, so i dont like to chance it on a snowy icy day :S

as for poor Ranzak, stole your car too! wow! you live in one mean place!
