... my wife went and bought a bike.. so to spend time with her, I bought one too.. I've pretty much parked the truck since. I started commuting and have found the forum invaluable.. :) I really appreciate all the partici[pation by the members.. It's really been helpful.

Well Hey!! We're in St. Pete, other coast and down aways.. We have a Rans Stratus and a Trek FX. I ride the Trek. We are pretty much surrounded by town.. to get into the country we just about have to leave the county although, we do have some nice bike trails through it..

I guess you've already rode the Friendship Trail (Gandy Bridge) and Pinellas Trail. Have you tried the Upper Tampa Bay trail (very close to North Pinellas county, and the Suncoast Trail? There's also Flatwoods park on Morris Bridge Rd, by the Fletcher exit off I-75. Oh, and there's Bayshore Blvd (apparently the world's longest continuous sidewalk) in Tampa too... nice views of the bay. You can also ride at Ft. DeSoto park.

Tons of places to ride :)
