Hello from Davis, CA

My name is Crystal and I joined after reading a few posts on Baja. My boyfriend, Jay, is currently on day 4 of touring from Cabo San Lucas back to Davis and I am looking for tips on camp sites and pit stops to relay to him.

Hi Crystal! Welcome to Bike Forums! Perhaps if you look around the Regional forums you might be able to ask around.

And when you get a chance, pop on by NorCal. They have plenty of group rides for you both join in on when he gets back.

Hello Crystal, do you do any riding yourself? If not, why not start? It's fun .

Anyway, glad to have you join, and

Welcome to BF!

I only ride a little. We have a Santana Tandem and have done a few loops out to Winters, CA - figured that would help match our riding levels. We are planning to do a century on the Tandem next year. I have a road bike but only do little trips around town...so far.

If you are going to do a century on the tandem start riding! It's not that difficult, but you want your rear end to get used to it . Member Red Rider is in your area, too (you can find her in the NorCal regional forum and Tandem Forum).

Hey Lynn. Tandems are such fun. You'll have a blast on your century next year.

Oh yeah, welcome to BikeFourms!

Oh, boy, more tandemistas!

We often ride between Vacaville, Winters and Davis. PM me and let's see if we can get a nice ride together. We've done 8 centuries this year on our tandem, a Co-Motion Roadster, and look forward to riding more next year. Maybe even a double, ha-ha, who knows?
